Rhythme and Poésie Montréal (2008-2009)
Rhythme and Poésie Montréal a pour but de se faufiler dans l’univers de nos jeunes protagonistes et de saisir leur réalité. Nous vous présentons sept jeunes Montréalais, pour la plupart bilingues, issus de race, de religion et d’origine différentes. Ces jeunes ont souvent été stigmatisés dans une image de gangsters ou de marginaux dérangeants, mais ont malgré tout réussi à trouver leur chemin dans notre société et cela grâce à la culture Hip Hop. La culture Hip Hop leur a permis de s’exprimer et de s’impliquer socialement pour aider d’autres jeunes. Vous découvrirez des jeunes dynamiques, fascinants, émotifs qui se dévoilent devant nous.
Rhythme and Poésie Montréal explores the universe of our protagonists in order to capture and begin to understand their reality. We present you with seven Montreal youth, who are bilingual for the most part, and all from different racial, cultural and religious backgrounds. These youth have often been misunderstood and stigmatized, labeled as gangsters, troublemakers or simply marginalized. However, despite and because of their life experiences, they have each found their way and created a meaningful place for themselves in society, due in large part to their involvement in the Hip Hop community. Hip Hop provides our youth with a way to express themselves, to actively participate in the community and to help other youth. You will meet youth who are dynamic, sensitive, passionate, hardworking, determined.
